Simple Pesto Tortellini Skewers – Tortellini is hurled in pesto and speared with sun dried tomatoes for a simple and tasty starter.

This formula contained mayo and I think all of you should know at this point, how I feel about mayo! Frightful. So I took the general thought and made it my own. I couldn't go to the genuine occasion (just given some nourishment) so I haven't had any input yet, yet while I was assembling them, my significant other more likely than not snuck off with around twelve sticks; so it's almost guaranteed that they went over well!

Since these Easy Pesto Tortellini Skewers are flavorful both chilled and at room temperature they are an awesome decision for potlucks, BBQ's or early lunches.

Easy Pesto Tortellini Skewers #easyrecipe #pasta

These Easy Pesto Tortellini Skewers can be served room temperature or chilled making them the perfect choice for potlucks, BBQ's and brunches.


  • 20 oz Tortellini, refrigerated (regular & spinach mix preferred but any variety will work)
  • ½ C Pesto, prepared
  • 4 oz Sun Dried Tomatoes (packed in oil), Julienned
  • Small Skewers


  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and place either back in pan or in a large bowl.
  2. Stir pesto into tortellini to coat evenly.
  3. Drain liquid from sun dried tomatoes and place in small bowl.
  4. Skewer one tortellini followed by a strip of tomato then one more tortellini and one more tomato.
  5. Refrigerate until serving.
  6. Notes
  7. If using a combination of spinach and regular tortellini, alternate so each skewer has one of each. The color combination will make for a beautiful combination.
