GARLIC PARMESAN OIL-FREE AIR FRYER CHIPS #healthy #vegan

These scrumptious sans oil air fryer chips will absolutely knock your socks off – and fulfill your hankering for something crunchy and delightful without settling on wellbeing.

The principal thing I needed to make when I got my air fryer (Thanks Amazon!) was make chips. Chips are certainly a nibble nourishment that I miss since I have been putting forth an attempt to consume more beneficial and remain from an excessive amount of oil. Air fryer plans are marvelous in case you're attempting to devour less oil. Almost certain I experienced around 15 potatoes attempting to consummate these sans oil air fryer chips. They were either underdone, overcompensated, or a blend of both. Yet, infant, I DID IT.

A large portion of the air fryer chip plans out there contained oil, which I needed to maintain a strategic distance from. What's more, they called for air-singing them at a truly elevated temp, which I discovered made the chips darker on the edges and underdone in the center. By one way or another, I faltered onto The Pioneer Woman's formula for Perfect French Fries. Albeit an entirely unexpected formula, she suggests singing the fries at a lower temp to cook them through and afterward boosting the temp to make them firm.

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Red Potatoes
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 garlic cloves crushed or minced
  • 2 tbsp homemade vegan parmesan

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the potatoes. I recommend using a mandolin (I use a 1.5mm blade.)
  2. Place the sliced potatoes in a bowl and fill with water. Mix in 2 teaspoons of salt. Let soak for 30 minutes.
  3. Drain and rinse the potatoes. Pat dry.
  4. Toss the potatoes with crushed garlic and vegan parmesan.
  5. Layer half of the potato slices in the air fryer, in no more than 4 or so layers. Don't overload the air fryer or the chips won't cook evenly.
  6. Fry at 170 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes, or until dry to the touch and no longer flimsy. Stir and toss the basket every 5 minutes or so.
  7. Bump the temperature up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and fry for an additional 5 minutes or until the potatoes have become crunchy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and top with more vegan parm or salt.
  9. Repeat for the other half of the potato slices.
  10. Snack away!
