A green turn on an exemplary dessert glide made with matcha green tea. With a matcha syrup base, this bubbly matcha frozen yogurt skim is extraordinary for green tea darlings!

I LOVE root lager glides. Each mid year I chase down Abita root lager (the best!) to make frozen yogurt skims. It's bubbly, sweet, and essentially dessert in a tall glass.

I needed to take a stab at making a matcha form and utilized a similar thought of taking a soft drink base and including frozen yogurt. I as of late made matcha pop so this formula was too simple to make sense of since the I should have simply dessert.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 can seltzer water
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 teaspoons matcha

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Make simple syrup by adding sugar and water into a saucepan and bringing it to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in sifted matcha into the simple syrup and let cool.
  3. In a tall glass, pour in cooled down matcha simple syrup. Add 1/4 cup seltzer water.
  4. Scoop in ice cream and top drink with more seltzer water.
