Shake & Bake Cauliflower #vegetarian #meals

I swear, this shake and heat cauliflower is perhaps significantly more addictive than popcorn or potato chips. One taste and it's difficult to stop… until abruptly the whole bowl is no more!

Fortunately, it's very simple to make more. Like the name says, you just toss the fixings into a pack, shake everything together, and heat until firm. At that point you can eat up the proof and rehash the procedure everywhere!

Growing up, I constantly cherished Shake'n Bake Chicken, more for the addictively crunchy breadcrumb covering than for the genuine chicken. In this way, after the staggering achievement of my Sticky Sesame Cauliflower formula, when I began conceptualizing extra plans I could make utilizing cauliflower rather than chicken, the "shake and prepare" thought was a prompt next decision.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 a large head of cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup fine cornmeal or flour
  • 1-2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Italian panko breadcrumbs, regular or gf
  • 2-4 tsp nutritional yeast or parmesan, such as vegan Parma

Instructions

  1. Finely crush the breadcrumbs, either in a blender (easiest method) or by placing them in a bag and crushing with a rolling pin or heavy object.
  2. Preheat oven to 425 F.
  3. Cut the cauliflower up into florets.
  4. Whisk together the other ingredients except breadcrumbs, then toss everything (except breadcrumbs) together in a large ziploc.
  5. Put the cauliflower in a colander to drain off excess batter. Toss with the breadcrumbs. Arrange in 1 layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6.  Bake 35-40 minutes. Remove from the oven. (Note: If you want to use oil spray instead of oil, feel free to experiment. I’ve not tried it and so can’t say how it would affect the taste/texture. Plain breadcrumbs can be subbed for the Italian, but you’ll probably want to add some Italian seasonings.)
