SIMPLE HOMEMADE PEACH ICED TEA #drinks #summerday

At the point when it's a sweltering summer day and it's formally peach season, it's sort of an easy decision that basic natively constructed peach frosted tea is number one on my desires list. So invigorating, so peachy, so sweet thus great.

Here in wonderful British Columbia, we are fortunate to get crisp and delicious privately gathered peaches. The peaches develop in the inside in a district called the Okanagan. Each mid year, my family and I generally head out to the Okanagan to gather the delectable occasional natural products… peaches, fruits, apples, pears… (my mouth is watering at the present time). You can visit the ranches and buy crisply picked peaches or you can get a pail and pick your own peaches! Sadly we headed up a little early this year so we couldn't pick our own. In any case, that is alright, in light of the fact that these organic products advance into the neighborhood supermarkets when everything looks good! otherwise known as. presently ??

Straightforward custom made peach frosted tea is simply great. The hardest part isn't eating spoonfuls of the peach blend when you are cooking it. It truly resembles a pot of fluffy peaches. You will recognize what I am discussing once you take a stab at making this yourself!

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 7 and 1/2 cups water, divided
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons loose leaf tea or 2 tea bags (black or green tea)

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine peaches, sugar and 1 and 1/2 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Lower heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes. Every 5 minutes, stir and crush peaches into the mixture.
  2. Pour the peach mixture into a blender and puree until smooth. Pour the peach puree through a sieve or fine mesh strainer to strain out the peaches. Pour into pitcher and set aside.
  3. Bring remaining 6 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat, add the tea and brew according to package directions (approximately 4-5 minutes). Once brewed, strain out the tea leaves or remove the tea bags and transfer to the pitcher. Stir to combine and refrigerate until cool.
  4. Once cool, give the mixture a quick stir, add ice cubes and peach slices and serve!
