CHUBBY HUBBY ICE CREAM PIE #desserts #cake

Nutty spread whirls and chocolate secured pretzels add a great energy to this Chubby Hubby Ice Cream Pie. This simple pastry is the ideal summer dessert!

Lift your hand on the off chance that you have ever had the Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby frozen yogurt? I have entirely had it, and I surmise I will never find the opportunity to attempt it since they don't make it any longer.

That is alright however in light of the fact that I thought of a flavorful natively constructed elective for you.

Ingredients
For the Crust

  • 2 1/2 cups salted pretzels (5 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 10 Tablespoons butter, melted

For the Ice Cream

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup original malted powder
  • 1 - 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 - 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup hot fudge
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped chocolate covered pretzels + extras

For the Topping

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 Tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Crush the pretzels in a food processor. You can also use a plastic bag and a wooden spoon to crush them.
  2. Mix together the pretzel crumbs, sugar, and butter. Press into the bottom and sides of a 9 1/2 inch deep dish pie plate. Set aside. (See note below if you don't have a pie plate)
  3. Beat the malt powder and whipping cream until soft peaks form. Place in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
  4. Beat the cream cheese until nice and creamy. Slowly add the sweetened condensed milk and beat the mixture until creamy.
  5. Fold in the whipped cream and chocolate covered pretzel pieces.
  6. Place the hot fudge and peanut butter into two microwave safe bowls. Heat for 15 seconds. Stir until creamy.
  7. Spoon half the ice cream mixture into the prepared crust. Drop half of the hot fudge and peanut butter on top of the ice cream. Swirl gently with a knife.
  8. Spoon the remaining ice cream on top gently until it reaches the top of the crust. You will have a little bit of ice cream leftover, so put it in a separate container and freeze it.
  9. Add the remaining hot fudge and peanut butter and swirl. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
  10. Beat the remaining whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  11. Use a piping bag and icing tip 1M and swirl the whipped cream around the edges of the pie. Top with extra chocolate covered pretzels.
